PASTORAL CARE

Assisting our Church Community

It’s important to be extra sensitive about self-care — especially during these challenging times. We want to ensure that if you need help, you’re getting the care you need. That’s why we’ve put together the following helpful resources. If you or someone you know is in need, please fill out the form HERE so we can help in any way we can. If you want more information on the services below or are interested in scheduling an appointment, kindly email pastoralcare@jctapestry.com.

Services

Spiritual Guidance

Pastoral Care is focused on helping people—who are experiencing personal, marital, and spiritual challenges—overcome their struggles using Biblically-based practices. The staff is comprised of lay Christians; individual and group sessions are available through appointment.

Pastoral Ministry

Tapestry Church provides emotional and spiritual care to those in need within the congregation’s membership during serious illness, loss of a loved one, homelessness, divorce, and other life-altering events.

Marriage/Pre-Marriage

Pastoral Care provides a six-week pre-marriage counseling program for engaged couples.  We also offer marriage counseling.  Our team is trained to assist with planning and officiating weddings. Click here to apply. We also offer a four-session Pre-Engagement counseling to help you determine whether engagement and marriage are your next step.  Click here to apply.

Funeral

Pastoral Care provides compassionate support to those dealing with the pain of losing a loved one. The team is trained to not only help with the grieving and healing process, but to assist with the planning of funeral and memorial services as well as officiating.

Financial Coaching

Are you facing financial hardship or struggling to make ends meet? Or perhaps you need a strategy for eliminating debt, or creating a budget for yourself or family? If any of this applies to you, then you are a candidate for financial coaching. We have a team who can assist you in better financial management, practical suggestions for budgeting, and assistance in prioritizing long-term financial objectives.

Sozo Prayer Ministry

What is Sozo Prayer?

SOZO is the Greek word translated “saved, healed, delivered.” Sozo ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry aimed to get to the root of things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With a healed connection, you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called. A Sozo session is a time for the Sozo team to sit down with you and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness. Sozo is not a counseling session but a time of interacting with Father, Son and Holy Spirit for wholeness and pursuing of your destiny.

Who is eligible to receive it?

After the appointment is confirmed, the person seeking inner healing meets with no less than two leaders, one who leads the Sozo prayer and another who records what God says throughout the meeting.  A series of questions are asked to the seeker to bridge the communication with God.

A Sozo goes far beyond just one session in a church, it’s usually the beginning or continuation of someone's communication with God. Private sessions are offered with a trained prayer facilitator and a team of intercessors. Appointments are approximately 1–2 hours in length. Schedule an appointment or e-mail us at pastoralcare@jctapestry.com for more information.

Referrals to Outside Agencies/Ministries

The Pastoral Care department’s goal is to connect people with resources and/or resource providers in the community when the current need and situation is outside of Tapestry Church’s ability to fully meet it. A comprehensive database is maintained of organizations and ministries that provide assistance to individuals and families related to the following needs:

Parenting Mentoring Group

As primary disciples of their children, parents have the challenging task of representing Christ in their home and raising kids to know and hollow Him. This group will help equip you for the task by tackling topics such as discipline, sexuality, communication, screen time and more. Led by Jeanie and Jeff Hosken.
